3 Brita Filters Are Better Than One

A jug style water filter is a good investment if you worry about what’s in your tap water, or simply don’t like the taste. In the long run, it works out to be a lot cheaper than buying bottled water. With two adults and a thirsty cat in the house we go through quite a few replacement cartridges. Buying them one at a time can cost a lot more money over the long run, but I don’t always have the cash to get one of the really big packs. The 3 Brita filters replacement pack (part number 35503) is a good compromise.

The replacement cartridges fit most of the Brita filter models, like “Atlantis”, “Riviera”, and “Classic”. They contain charcoal and ion-exchange resin that reduces the levels of heavy metals and other impurities in water. Each one is wrapped individually, so they’ll stay good until you need them. When I use the last one in the box, I add them to the shopping list so that I’ll have more by the time I need them. I certainly change it more often than the 2 months that Brita recommend.
